Loading ...I’ll be the first to admit that I have been particularly critical of how Goldman Sachs behaved during the RE bubble. The reason for me being particularly hard on them is because I expect more from those who were mostly born privileged and had the opportunity to obtain the best education. YEARS later, I see that they are finally getting it!
Today the announced that they would be changing the way they structured bonus. Basically, executives and highly paid employees will obtain bonuses via shares that have sale restrictions on them. This is a move in the right direction. I personally have no issues of someone getting paid billions of dollars if the earned it for the company (profits). What bothers me is when a bankers sells a 100K debt that will default yet they pay themselves 10K of the offering of this debt before any profits are ever earned by anyone.
