Loading ...You pick, but remember, you can only have one. The US dollar is sitting at record low levels while commodities are sitting at record high levels. Unfortunately, the increase of equities did not translate to an increase in housing prices or an increase in economic activities. The Fed is now starting to lose wiggle room as they will face higher oil price with every drop of the dollar.
The dilemma is keep rates unbelievably low while continuing the stimulus to someday put a floor in housing or do we defend the value of the dollar.
